Hi, My name is Lily.
I'm a graphic designer and artist living in Portland, Oregon. I have worked as a graphic designer for seven years and have a background in print and digital media, brand design, photography, illustration and screen printing.
As an artist and designer, I am a Swiss army knife. I have a wide range of skills, and I am an adaptable person. As a designer, I have 5+ years of experience in logo and brand creation, creating promotional print media, illustration, video editing, and photography. I have 3+ years of experience working in Communications and Event Marketing, where I worked in event publicity, social media coordination, and general organization of scheduling and events. In addition to design and communications, I am passionate about fine art and printmaking. My fine arts background has changed how I approach design and has assisted me in becoming a more innovative creator.

AMSA MARKETING AND CREATIVE | GRAPHIC DESIGNER
As a graphic designer at AMSA, I manage various internal and client projects. I have had the opportunity to create two distinct brands - one for the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission and the other for the Howard County Public School System. These branding projects involved developing logos and color palettes, selecting accessible fonts, designing icons and other illustrated assets, and creating comprehensive brand books that outline the guidelines. In addition to design, I make weekly presentations for clients and handle the packaging of deliverables.

Aside from branding, I have produced various other design materials such as infographics, brochures, flyers, posters, and social media templates for both clients. On the internal side, I regularly design proposal layouts, internal documents and templates, social media assets, photo editing, and branded illustrations.

BNF KOMBUCHA & JUN | HEAD GRAPHIC DESIGNER
I spearheaded the redesign of BNF's brand and image with a cohesive logo, color palette, fonts, and graphics. As part of this project, I revamped all 17 product labels. On top of that, I crafted ads, banners, posters, stickers, tee shirts, and informational booklets. I created a PowerPoint sales deck for potential clients, took all their product photography and company headshots, and managed their social media.

HOT TEES | PRINT PRODUCTION MANAGER
As a Production Manager, I had a range of responsibilities such as screen printing, shirt pressing, screen burning and cleaning, preparing graphics files for print, and ensuring that the workshop was clean at all times. Apart from my production tasks, I developed a Pantone matching system for custom ink mixing and implemented various printing techniques still in use today.

In this role, I designed concert ads and posters, formatted concert programs, brochures and booklets for events, managed social media accounts, promoted and scheduled events, organized the SOMD calendar, and worked as an in-house photographer during events.

During my time at the JSMA, I worked as an educational assistant. I took charge of teaching art classes to children and delivering art lessons in Spanish. My expertise included creating customized lesson plans, assisting with events, and managing the studio space.
